Employees State Insurance Act Monthly Wage Ceiling for coverage under ESI enhanced from Rs. 10,000/- to Rs. 15,000/- w.e.f. 1st May, 2010.
Payment of Gratuity Act Gratuity Ceiling enhanced for employees from Rs. 3,50,000/- to Rs. 10,00,000/- w.e.f. 24th May 2010.
Workmen’s Compensation Act 1923 Workmen’s Compensation Act, 1923 renamed as ‘Employees’ Compensation Act, 1923′ vide Workmen’s Compensation (Amendment) Act, 2009.
Employees Provident Fund & Misc Provisions Act, 1952 Provident Fund wage ceiling hiked from ₹6,500 to  ₹15,000 a month with effect from September 1, 2014.  Eearlier, only employees whose monthly pay was Rs.6,500/- or less were required to become a member of the EPF Scheme. Now, this limit has been increased to Rs. 15,000/-.
  Private Sector Schools / Colleges & Hospitals / Nursing Homes in Delhi now covered under ESI:Labour Dept. – NCT of Delhi has notified that all Educational Institutions and Hospitals or Nursing Homes in NCT of Delhi, except those run by Ministries and Departments of Central Government and Govt. of NCT of Delhi, shall now be covered under ESI.
  Director is not covered under definition of ‘Employer’ under EPF & ESI Acts and hence, cannot be prosecuted under Section 405 of IPC for offenses by company [Held by Hon’ble Calcutta High Court in Robin Paul V. State of West Bengal [2010] 153 COMP CAS 419 (CAL)]

Employees Provident Fund & Misc Provisions Act, 1952 Reduction in Rate of Administrative Charges from 1.10% to 0.85% of the pay vide MOL & E Notification No. S O. 323(E) dated 2nd February, 2015 and S.O. 324(E) dated 2nd February 2015 and EPFO Letter No. WSU/4(2)97 Administrative Charges/40648 dated 2nd March 2015.  This notification is effective from 1st January 2015
Employees Provident Fund & Misc Provisions Act, 1952 Mandatory filling of return in Form-5A online by the employers of the establishments covered under the Employees’ Provident Funds & Miscellaneous Provisions Act, 1952. It is intimated to employer vide Circular No. C-III/Compliance-2001/Cir/E-1/39808 dated 25.02.2015.  It is mandatory that filling of Form 5A by the employer before 31st March 2015, failing to file the said return by 31st March 2015 will amount to non-submission of statutory return and also render the defaulting establishment liable for action as provided under Section 14 of the Act.
